Why bring the kids

  • A boardwalk around the lake, and snowshoe and cross-country ski trails in winter
  • Seasonal Indigenous art and culture exhibits in the Deer Clan Longhouse

Before you go

Fees

Not required, but recommended.
Parking
The official park page does not describe parking; check before you go.
Washrooms

Strollers
Hard going with a stroller: the boardwalk and main trail drop down a steep, rocky slope. The park suggests Mountsberg instead for strollers and wheelchairs.

Good to know

  • The longhouses open on weekends and holidays all year, and on weekdays only from May to early September.
  • No swimming, boating or fishing in the lake. Dogs stay on a leash and out of the water.
